Ask first.

Can I download Society without being a member?
Yes. The app is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. Without a membership you can browse what's on and see how the app is shaped, but you'll need to apply for membership to RSVP for events or post in The Room.
How does membership work? Is it paid?
Membership is offered on monthly or yearly plans. Yearly works out roughly 28% cheaper than monthly. Every application is reviewed by our team within 48 hours — there's no auto-approval. You can also attend selected events as an "observer" before joining.
How is my data protected?
Your profile is only visible to other approved members — there's no public directory. The Room actively prevents screenshots where the platform allows it. We follow GDPR and KVKK. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Which cities are you active in?
We're currently programming events in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. Pilot circles are forming in Berlin, London and Lisbon. If you want to suggest a city, write to hello@societyapp.org.
How do invites work?
Each member can use 2 invite codes a month. The person you invite still completes the application — an invite code only moves the application up the queue, it doesn't approve it automatically. This keeps the community small and considered.
When is the event address shared?
24 hours before the event. This protects the host's privacy and reduces last-minute drop-offs. You'll get a notification in the app.
